Now the cat's bell jingles in the hallway, as he hopes I will open the door to Corrie's room where he spent much of his kitten time. Where there should be the sound of a 10-year-old girl telling me to leave her room, the wind rustles the last of the brown leaves on the trees.
Most of the story of the work towards the latest no dig areas, specifically in our Wall Garden, is told through pictures and video.
I remember a woman at one of my Compassionate Friends--an international support group for parents, grandparents, and siblings who have lost a child/ brother/ sister--said that, with time, your grief journey will bring you gifts you never imagined. Now if you had the choice to get your child back, of course, you would take it, but this is the path given to us.

My appreciation for the men and boys in my life centers around a one little girl. Without them, I would not have found a way forward to live and strive, as Corrie dwells in heaven.
Kids will inspire you if you allow them.
If you'd ask me to imagine life 20 years ago, the plans I'd made would fail to match real events.
