Perhaps you begin the morning early before the sun rises.
Maybe a dusty sky crosses the sky unswept where you are.
You take your dog outside for their morning time, or you pour your pumpkin spice creamer into your coffee. Perhaps you laugh at (with) people who put pumpkin spice in their coffee, so you drink your coffee black. After all, you think, this is the only way to drink it.
A special coffee I had ordered made in memory of the family member related to the owners.
Or, maybe you sleep in on Thanksgiving without anywhere to go. You feel sorrow or heartbreak whether it is due to family disconnection, grief over a day without a loved one or pet, or a struggle “no one knows anything about.” Your feelings, thoughts, and struggles are worthy of a day of remembrance.
A sunrise from the farm for you on this Thanksgiving Day. There are more sunrises and and sunsets on my TikTok and YouTube channels: @Corries_Mommae.
I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving for the holiday you need; not the one Hallmark and commercials advertise.
After we suddenly lost Corrie due to a tumor on May 27, 2020, a miscarriage, and my husband, John’s, battle with colon cancer; gratitude became a difficult emotion to feel. Yet, I found it in the memories; something deeper in the soul than words can express.
I go through my Top 3 Reasons why I love S & K Greenhouse and Gro-Rite Garden in Shelby, North Carolina. Justin and his team of designers created the Gro-Rite Garden, a raised garden bed that you can build in 10 minutes or less, requires no tools, and recyclable materials. I was invited as an affiliate of Gro-Rite on TikTok and social media.
In each of the videos I share from my channels, I hope to share messages of hope, a happy holiday, or just for you to know it’s alright to feel your feelings all day long cuddled up in bed next to your dog, cat, pet lizard, or a book.
A sunset from the other day over the mountain.
This is a video of the roses from the different gardens honoring the Thanksgiving you desire for you.
My guys are sick, so we are just doing a chill day at home with soups.
We expect our first hard frost on Saturday, so it’s nice to have a few flowers around.
They say teacher turn over is high right now, and many teachers will leave the profession in five years or less. I will enter my seventh year as a full-time teacher, and my 12th year in education after I'd started as a sub and teacher assistant. I was the student in the 1990s you did not want in your classroom because I was diagnosed with ADHD and did not know how to socialize with other kids. I was due to be tested for autism, but this was considered an ostracizing experience for a child then, especially a girl. I am a third generation teacher and author of seventeen creative works.
