No matter where you live …
No matter what you believe …
I wish you grace this time of year.
Some believe in what Easter stands for, some honor other special traditions, and to others, this time of year is simply spring.
The season reminds us of new life. It reminds me of something I seldom see now: grace.
Show yourself grace whether you’ve lost a job, friend, or loved one. Show others grace rather than rage because you never know what they’re going through.
If you’re hurting or grieving, you have every right to scream outside or into a pillow. You have every right to punch a pillow.
But grace means we give each other a sort of kindness and beauty that still lives within humanity.
Grace means even if we have lost, or we’re angry, as anger should not be suppressed, but expressed in a healthy way; we can show kindness as simple as a thank you …
… as simple as taking the shopping cart back into the store or the storage area rather than leave it in the middle of a parking lot.
Grace, for me, is the acceptance that the wisteria will still grow each season even if my daughter does not.
