October traditionally inspires a good feeling.
That is the hope.
October, with its activities, is non-divisive in that people always have events or weekends planned out this time of year.
October is the weekend trip to New England or the Blue Ridge Parkway to see the leaves change.

Couples, friends, families or those alone can venture into the mountains with plenty of social distancing.

This month is usually the gathering of food, apple or pumpkin spice before times of gratitude;
before we give Thanksgiving.
In October, we want to find a place with the fire lit, and where we can comfortably take off our shoes inside.

October is when my writer’s daydream comes to life. Today, I share part of a poem I worked on for three weeks called “Sweet Sixteen,” which like “Six,” marks a deep moment for me to reflect on Corrie.
